“JDK is a fun, interactive, and safe place for our children. Their programs build social skills with sensory activities. Jenna, Donna, and staff are amazing and such a pleasure to be around. Our community is lucky to have them.”
“My 3 year old son attended summer camp in July and August. Not only did he love it, he started Pre-K 4 this year and I can already see such a marked improvement. One day when I picked him up from school I saw him looking directly into one of his classmates’ faces and smiling, and today when I picked him up from school he initiated waving and saying “bye” to two boys who were leaving, and then gave his teacher from last year a high five when she asked him for one. The staff at JDK Social Station’s hard work is 100% bearing fruit in our son’s life, and we are so, so thankful.”
“My little boy has been attending JDK for the past year and I’ve seen so many improvements in all areas . Their curriculum is fun and interactive for the children and my son always looks forward to going.”
“JDK Social Station is a wonderful place, filled with wonderful people. My son has severe Childhood Apraxia of Speech and this summer camp was recommended to him by his SLP to get him to feel comfortable initiating conversations with both neurotypical and neurodivergent peers. It is truly an inclusive program with staff who LOVE the kids. Ms. Meagan and Ms. Allison were beyond loving, and Jenna, one of the directors, was so understanding and flexible to work with. My son came out of camp everyday this summer with a smile on his face and singing all the fabulous songs he learned while he was there! Note, he didn’t say a word until he was 4.5 years old and turned 5 at the end of May. I feel blessed to have sent him to such an awesome camp this year, and look forward to coming back next year, with his little sister too! :)”
“I don’t know if there is a technical term for what JDK Social Station is, but for me it is simply a place where children with special emotional needs (for example, on the autism spectrum, sensory issues, etc.) can spend time in a structured environment to interact with other children under the supervision, guidance, and care of HIGHLY trained educators. My son has an enormous amount of fun each and every day. When he is going regularly, he is calmer, more in-control of himself, and happier. Donna, Jenna, and all of the other staff members whom I’ve met are really terrific, caring people. Very lucky to have found them!!”
